soo. i'm a little over 3 weeks into my little exercise/try to eat healthier shenanigan. thus far, things are looking fairly awesome! i've lost my 6 pounds for the 3 weeks! the goal is 2 pounds a week until costa rica!!!!! shar gets up every day with me to go to the gym. she's a saint.
but even more than the numbers on the scale, even more than saying i go to the gym or work out every day (confession: i think i've skipped 2 or 3 days total) anywho, even more than all of that, i can say i'm getting better - and by better, i mean happier. even if i dont get the greatest workout, i strut outta that gym, sweaty, gross, and oh so satisfied knowing i'm working hard to obtain my goal - healthy and happy.
the gym aspect has been great. the eating....not so much. thanksgiving kinda did me in. but i'm not going to give up! tomorrow i'm selling my soul to the devil. and by selling my soul to the devil, i mean i'm doing the 10 day master cleanse. and by 10 day master cleanse i mean i consume absolutely NOTHING for 10 days other than some nasty lemon, cayenne pepper, maple goo mixture in hot water. wish me luck. i'll probably end up chewing off my own fingers.
on the plus side, my body will be cleared of all toxins and nastiness and it'll help my cravings! ...or at least it had better!
i'll keep you posted.
life in general is awesome! finals in 2 weeks, but i really feel like i can handle it. i just need to buckle down and focus. no failing anymore tests for me. also, with thanksgiving just a few days ago, really reminded me how thankful i am for the wonderful family and friends i have. couldn't do it without you guys. i'm so blessed. so thank you for...being you :) for being champions.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your successes so far. Two pounds a week is a GREAT goal. I would prefer 10 personally, but I think 2 for me would be more realistic. My gym excursions start tomorrow morning.....yeah, morning like 4:50 am. I told my friend to not say the "4" word...it's 10 minutes to 5. I'm hoping to slowly coax her into the 9-ish classes after she drops her girls off at school. I'm already scheduling a nap for tomorrow late morning :) Have a great week.
